Exterior Doors 2023
Natural Light and Energy Efficiency Glass is an excellent way to bring natural light into any home. It also helps to improve energy efficiency. There are two main types of glass used in doors. Single pane glass is made up of a single layer of glass, while double pane glass has two layers of glass separated by an air pocket. Double pane glass is more energy-efficient than single pane glass, as it helps to reduce heat transfer. 1 1/4" TDL

There are two main types of divided lites: true divided lites (TDLs) and simulated divided lites (SDLs). TDLs feature individual pieces of glass divided by muntin bars, while SDLs are a single piece of double pane glass with bars applied to the glass surface. Many doors that utilize SDL Bars will also have a spacer bar in between for a more authentic look.
